I graduated from Wageningen University (the Netherlands) with a Ph.D degree. My current research focuses on China's environmental policies and governance, environmetnal movement and global civil society. My book Environmental Activism in China is to be published by Routledge this
April. Based on intensive field work (10 months) in China, it discusses how Chinese environmental activists protect the environment and influence policies in the specific socio-political context of the country.
